Tucked inside a barbershop that’s never been afraid to do things differently, Endie Gallery is a space dedicated to Boise’s artists—emerging, established, and everything in between. It’s a quiet rebellion against the idea that art needs to be sterile or sacred to be seen.

Come for a haircut, stay for a moment of reflection. This is a gallery that doesn’t whisper. It tells stories.

The gallery was born from the same reason the barbershop was: survival, expression, and a need for space.

In a city growing faster than its artists can keep up, Endie gives visibility to those who might otherwise get lost in the scroll. No velvet ropes. No curated elitism. Just walls, light, and people passing through—pausing long enough to see.

”Stories From The Barber”
(a polaroid project)

In a world of instant gratification, instant film actually reminds you to be still for a few moments. It urges you to take in your surroundings, capture the moment, and experience equal parts patience and eager anticipation while you wait for the photo to develop, quietly hoping to yourself that it will come out right. Instant photography is also a lesson in humility, as there are a lot of things that can easily go wrong that you have little control over. Maybe they’re over exposed, or just out of focus, but you are going to end up with a lot of bad pictures among the good ones. But sometimes that crappy picture is just enough to spark the memory of an entire story. These polaroids tell the stories of some of our favorite places around the treasure valley, and we invite you to ask about them during your next visit.
