“City Life” is the debut series of Chris Bentley - a collection of photographs shot entirely within public parks in Boise, all within ten minutes of the Boise Bench. As the city has grown, a. lot of the native wildlife has been quietly pushed to the edges, but these parks continue to allow the animals to live in the spaces they have been in for generations. Wetland habitats, familiar birds, creatures that most people walk past without noticing - they’re all still here, sharing the city alongside us.

This series is partly a thank you to Boise Parks & Recreation for preserving those pockets of wildness, but it is also an invitation. Chris has spent the last few years slowing down (joking about how he has grown into his birding years), watching, and finding real peace in the quiet moments that nature offers. He hopes these photographs give you a little of that same feeling
