State Board Exam Day 2: The Theory Exam

This was the bane of my existence for the past few weeks. I'm confident in my ability to cut hair, but retaining information about anatomy, nervous system classifications, and the names of specific bones and muscles in your face is something I'm not quite as confident in. Fortunately, I was able to get same day results, so there isn't the same anxiety of waiting from yesterday's test.

I remember when I took my first test in school. I got a B. I was pissed that I didn't get an A. I went in to the testing office with a different mentality. "Just pass. Don't stress that you don't know everything, you have room to grow and room to learn, that's what the rest of your life is for. But right now, I need to just pass."

I breezed through the test with 70 minutes remaining of the 90 minutes they provided. The proctor came out from back room with a paper that read the following. "Results: PASSING GRADE" "Congratulations" she said as she handed me the copy of my test results. I couldn't get the smile off of my face.

I came home. I passed. I passed. I passed. It kept playing in my mind on repeat. This is a good day. The only thing that could make this week more intense is if my childhood could start all over. Wait, Star Wars opens this week, too?!?! I don't think my heart can manage.

So that was Tuesday, Thursday has a different kind of heartache. I go to the website to check if the results have posted.

Important News:

Result letters for the practical exams held on 12/14/15 are now available to view and print for those candidates that requested webscores on their application. Please print the result letter as you will not receive an additional copy in the mail. This result letter will only contain your practical results as IQT provides the written result letter when you test at their testing center. All scores are sent electronically to the Board office. I get myself logged in.

"Dear Candidate BENTLEY, CHRISTOPHER SEBASTIAN,

Your examination result letter has been mailed to you as requested on your application and is not available on the webscore system. Please do not send an e-mail to tech support as you will receive your result letter in the mail in approximately 3 to 4 business days.
Thank You."

Crap.......I didn't fill in the right blank and now I have to wait even longer to find out the results. I guess I'll try calling the office in the morning to see if they have my information.
